Week 11

Dear Parents Wow, I cannot believe how quick the year has gone. We are in our last week of Term 2!!!You should be so proud of your children's wonderful achievements and success this first semester. I hope that you enjoy two weeks off and have some special family time together. Just a few reminders about the last week of term... Popcorn and Movie 🍿🍿 On Friday to celebrate the end of term and the hard work the children have done this semester. We are going to watch a movie, eat some popcorn and have a lovely, snuggly and relaxing afternoon together. The children can bring a soft toy to cuddle up to as well (I know how much they love soft toys)πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ Learning and Curriculum In just one semester the students have really worked hard in their academic pursuits learning to decode tricky words, read with growing fluency, write sentences , recount and information reports and spell so many words including new digraphs, trigraphs and a lot of tricky words along the way.  We have learnt about

Dear Parents,  I hope you had a lovely weekend enjoying the beautiful winter weather! Only a few weeks to go and what a term we have had so far! I'm so impressed with the incredible personal growth the students have had personally and academically over the last six months.   Cross Country πŸƒ‍♀️πŸƒ‍♂️ Just a reminder that Cross Country is taking place this Thursday 17th of June. Students are to wear their faction shirt and are encouraged to wear zinc and bring teddies. We will make our way down to the oval at 9 am for a 9:15am start, however we will be the second year group running the cross country as it will begin with Year 3's, then Year 1's and then Year 2's, etc. Providing the weather stays good, we will stay out to watch some of the other races. Parents are most welcome to join us to watch, please note that the bottom gravel car park is unavailable.  Merit Award Winner 🌟✨ Congratulations to Cruz Cross who was our week 8 Merit Award winner. Hello Parents  I hope that you have been keeping up to date with some of the things we have been getting up to in Year 1C on SeeSaw. OLC Celebrates National Sorry Day The Sorry Day whole school photo was a huge success and was well received on social media by members of the community with over 3000 views. Thank you to the committee for organizing this event and for the support of all staff and students for making it happen.
