Week 3 Term 1 : Homework

Hello Parents  I am so proud of how much focus and persistence with a positive attitude our 1C team are showing when learning new things. In just a few weeks we are already growing our confidence to problem solve and continuing to build our independence to complete our work, try out new things and even suggest and share our own ideas and other ways we can show what we know and have learnt.    Thank you to all who have made the time to watch our parent information introduction video last week and read through the attached slides in the previous post. I hope it was a great way to find out the 'nitty gritty' of  both our Year One learning and life in our class. Please feel free to refer back to the previous blog post for a link to the slides presented and feel free to email me with any follow up questions you may have. A few pieces of information for this week... Homework Yay! The time that you have all been waiting for! This afternoon we will send home a homework book and their

Dear Parents Welcome to the 2021 parent information night for Year One. This year it looks a little bit different due to COVID restrictions.   We understand that in previous years, it might have been a bit difficult for some people to attend due to other commitments, so we are very privileged to be able to present this to you all in an online capacity. We would love for you to have a look through the presentation so you are informed about the ins and outs of Year One.  These are the slides that are of significance that we spoke about in our video.  General business, FAQ and information about medication and allergies Year One Curriculum      H omework OLC Behaviour Management Policy.  Hello everyone  This week marks "week one" for both myself and your children in Year 1C. We survived a huge week of orientation and getting to know each other. I am so impressed how well the children have settled in, they have done an AMAZING job! If you do not already know, I come from Perth and did my degree at Notre Dame in Fremantle, graduating with a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education. Most of my childhood holidays were spent at our family property in Yallingup Siding with friends, horses and nature.  As a Teacher, I feel so lucky to be given this opportunity to assist your child through the next year of their education in the great south west where I have spent so much of my life. I have posted some adorable photos of my little students in our first week. Until next post... Much Love Miss Christie

First Week of Year One!

Hello parents! What an absolutely brilliant, fantastic, wonderful couple of days of Year 1!  I am so blessed to have such an awesome bunch of children to be a part of the 1C team.  We were busy little bodies all day learning about the big world of Year 1, how to eat and play in the 'big school', all having our own desk to work at, how to get things out and pack away at the end of the day and even went to the new Book Bunker library with the 1K class to read a story together.  There was lots of questions, lots of answers, lots of learning and a little bit of fun too! Stay tuned for some photos of our first day of fun in the blog post at the end of the week. I'm going to attach below this post some information from the previous blog to help out a few parent questions but please feel free to email me anything else you are wondering.  There will also be a detailed powerpoint for the Parent Information Night (class meetings in person are currently cancelled due to COVID) that
